Mindfulness started for me at the beginning of 2014.

I had dabbled with Meditation before this, buying the books, downloading the apps but I didn't have a regular practice.

When I was preparing to fly back to the UK in January 2014, I was in Sydney Airport when I had a strong feeling to go to the bookshop. Once there, a voice told me to buy Deepak Chopra's Synchro Destiny. I read it on the flight and from that day meditation and mindfulness made sense. I began my daily meditation practice doing the exercises that Deepak asks of you and I repeated these for 8 weeks until I had created a regular practice.


I have spoken a lot in my posts about Meditation and how it is part of my daily routine.

There are many benefits associated with meditation including reducing stress levels (69% of all illness is stress related), weight loss (as we eat more mindfully) and overcoming depression. For me the main benefits are, I feel happy, content, at peace and I make better and smarter decisions.
